USAID Agro-Inputs Project (AIP), implemented by CNFA, organized a media event on March 18, 2014. The event provided guidance and information to the local media on best practices of AIP and the Agro-Input Retailers Network (AIRN) to improve the visibility and longevity of project activities through media engagement. The program was designed accordingly with AIP’s Chief of Party, Mark Treacy kicking off the meeting, followed by remarks from Mehedi Hassan, AIP’s Agricultural Supply Chain Advisor, and Moksed Ali, AIRN’s Coordinator. An AIRN retailer member, Md. Abdul Aziz from Fultala Khulna was also given the opportunity to share his story with the media.
Media representatives from both print and electronic media attended the event:
Engaging the media is important to help explain the benefits of AIP’s initiatives while recruiting new members for the Agro-Input Retailers Network.
