Babu Ramasamy is a finance expert with more than 25 years of experience in financial management, accounting, budgeting and compliance. As associate vice president, Finance, Ramasamy is responsible for managing CNFA’s financial internal controls, annual audits, corporate budgets, financial analyses, cash flow and banking relations. Ramasamy oversees and mentors the financial team and is also responsible for ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. He leads organization-wide finance management and, as a key member and leader within the Operations team, promotes critical business strategies that help strengthen CNFA’s operational efficiency, resilience and growth.
Ramasamy specializes in the financial management of USAID cooperative agreements and contracts, as well as private foundation grants. Before joining CNFA, he served as a finance manager at InterAction, working on multi-donor portfolios, membership accounts, annual audits and operational aspects of the finance department. He also worked as a senior auditor in India with a local accounting firm, managing the audits of banks, corporations and foundations.
Ramasamy is CPA-certified and holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Toledo and Master of Business Administration from Annamalai University in India. He is a Chartered Accountant from India, which is recognized in commonwealth nations. Babu speaks Tamil and English.
