Michael Youssef brings over 15 years of experience in international development program management and over seven years leading the recruitment of highly skilled technical personnel and team members for USAID and other donor-funded proposals. His experience spans various technical areas, including economic growth, civil society, fiscal reform, trade policy, rule of law and agriculture and food security programming, at both non-governmental organizations and for-profit companies.
As director of International Recruitment, he focuses on developing relationships and processes that build the capacity of future CNFA project teams. His role includes strong cross-collaborative team engagement between CNFA’s business development and technical design teams to strategically identify in-country and expatriate talent.
He also has extensive experience developing recruitment strategies, locating highly qualified staff with his strong industry network and managing field project start-up, implementation and close-out. An operations-focused development professional, he brings in-depth knowledge of USAID program implementation, coupled with his business development acumen. He has lived and worked on programs in Egypt, Israel and the West Bank and Lebanon and recruited for proposals and projects in over 40 countries.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from George Mason University and is a fluent Arabic speaker.
