Otabek Rakhimov

Otabek Rakhimov is an international development professional with over 20 years of experience focusing on project management and implementation in agriculture and rural development, private sector development, the financial sector and public/economic policy. His experience includes working for government entities, banks, research institutions like the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management (Germany), international organizations like the Asian Development Bank, the Japanese International Cooperation Agency and USAID, USAID implementing partners and as an individual consultant. Through his field-based experience, he has worked on assignments in the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East, Pakistan and West Africa.

Since joining CNFA, Rakhimov has held various positions within the finance and program management teams, supporting CNFA’s portfolio of projects through start-up, implementation and close-out activities.

Rakhimov holds a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management from Université d’Auvergne in France, a Master of Business Administration from Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany and a Bachelor of Arts in International Economic Relations from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Uzbekistan. He has completed numerous trainings on project management, evaluation, proposal development and managing U.S. Government contracts, cooperative agreements and grants. He is also fluent in English, French, Russian and Uzbek and speaks Azeri and Turkish at an intermediate level.
