Patricia Sheikh

Patricia Sheikh brings over 35 years of expertise in global trade and development issues, having worked for the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service in several key senior-level positions, including managing global trade relations at the bilateral, regional, and global levels. Sheikh recently worked at Roots of Peace, a nonprofit that rebuilt the horticultural and nut sectors in Afghanistan and re-established export markets in the Middle East and India, contributing to over $1 billion in exports from Afghanistan prior to the Taliban takeover. She currently serves on the boards of the National Industrial Hemp Council and the World Food Law Institute. She also served on the board of the Millennium Challenge Corporation. Prior to her position at Roots of Peace, she was the director of agriculture, trade, and health at the Corporate Council of Africa.
