Ms. Al-Rufai is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with more than 15 years of experience managing international development programs that focus on private sector development, education, capacity building, governance, conflict and transition economies.
Ms. Al-Rufai joined CNFA in 2016 to provide support to the $41 million USAID-funded Agricultural Growth Program – Livestock Market Development (AGP-LMD) project in Ethiopia. Shortly after, she joined the team in Washington as Director of Programs.
Prior to joining CNFA, she managed a basic education program in South Sudan and served as the Chief of Party of the MEPI funded Community Development Grants Program in Libya. Ms. Al-Rufai has also served in posts as Country Director, Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party and Grants Manager in Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, Libya, Turkey, South Sudan.
She holds an MSc with a specialization in Computer Engineering from the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq.
