Associate Director, Talent and Culture

Bringing over a decade of experience in Human Resources, Sara McEwan is a mission-driven professional with a primary focus on instilling a culture of collaboration and inclusion. In her role as the associate director, Talent and Culture, McEwan demonstrates a steadfast dedication to fostering innovation and cultivating a people-centric work environment. She manages corporate wellbeing across the complete employee lifecycle, overseeing elements that propel CNFA’s talent acquisition initiatives, including recruitment and onboarding for both the Washington, D.C. and field-based offices.

McEwan recognizes the crucial impact that a well-managed employee lifecycle has on creating a positive workplace atmosphere and contributing to the overall success and satisfaction of both employees and an organization. Her extensive background and commitment to excellence make her a valuable asset in steering the success of CNFA’s organizational culture and talent management initiatives.

Prior to her tenure at CNFA, she worked with NTVI, an Alaskan Native Corporation, where she played a pivotal role in recruiting for federal contracts. Notably, the proceeds from these contracts directly benefited individual and corporate Alaska Native shareholders.

McEwan holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Development Studies from the University of Westminster. Additionally, she is a Senior Certified Professional in Human Resources, certified by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). McEwan is fluent in English and Wolof.
